The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger are still popular muscle cars, but Dodge is ceasing production of these two models by the end of 2023. However, these cars won't just go quietly into the night without an appropriate send-off. Special packages will be available for these throwback models to celebrate nearly 60 years of sporty styling and athletic performance. Last Call Plaques and Expanded Jailbreak Offerings
Each new Dodge Charger and Challenger model comes with a ceremonial “Last Call” plaque under the hood. This plaque will display the vehicle’s silhouette alongside “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Built in Brampton.” Dodge is also expanding its Jailbreak program, which allows Lodi drivers to mix and match features and options that might not generally be available. Instead of just being offered on Hellcat Redeye Widebody variants, the program will be available on more affordable Hellcat models for 2023.
Bodies in White and Drag Pak Rolling Chassis'
There are expected to be seven last-edition Charger and Challenger models offered at dealerships this year, and six of them will pay homage to previous Dodges. The seventh model will apparently be the “last of its kind” according to Dodge. Challenger "Bodies in white" will also be available that can be transformed into just about whatever Sacramento drivers want. Additionally, a Drag Pak rolling chassis will be offered that's just a powertrain away from being a drag strip bruiser.
Convertible Challenger Conversions
To close out the send-offs, Dodge is finally offering a convertible Challenger for open-air driving in Modesto. Customers will have to special-order the drop-top, which will be installed by Drop Top Customs and sent back to the dealership for pickup.
