The Dodge Charger is an extremely powerful vehicle in the large car category. It has a unique profile of features and performance, and it is a blast to drive. It isn't the most fuel-efficient car, but if you are looking to buy a Charger, that might not be your objective anyway. There is nothing else on the road quite like the Charger. This is on the sporty side, rather than the luxury side, so take that into account when you consider whether the Charger is a good match for you from Stockton Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.

Performance
The engines are at the heart of the Charger's design. There are a total of six available. The base engine is a V6 rated for 292 horsepower, and there is a small upgrade for a V6 rated for 300 horsepower. Both of the V6s feel strong, but the V8s really bring out the Charger's power. The first two V8s are naturally aspirated. They are rated for 370 and 485 horsepower, so they are a big step up from the V6s, and you will really feel the kick from them.
The Source of Power
The last two engines are V8s with superchargers. They are on a totally different level from the previous engines. The first one is rated at 717 horsepower, and the top engine is rated at 797 horsepower. These numbers are astounding for a car, and there is truly nothing like getting behind the wheel of a car with between seven and eight hundred horses under the hood. The top engines do not come cheap, but they will give you an incomparable experience i Lodi. You can compare the different engines to each other in test drives, but these are what you buy the Charger for, so don't hold back. The handling of the Charger is excellent.

Interior and Tech
The Charger has a good amount of interior space for the class. It has about average cargo space, and the passenger area is quite roomy. It also has three sets of LATCH connectors for baby seats, one for each rear seat. The Charger's interior is not as opulent as some other large cars, but that fits its performance and power-oriented style, and you can add some luxury touches like leather upholstery in the options and trim configurations if you would like to do so.
Top Features
The tech on the Charger, like the interior quality, does vary by trim, but the best tech is fairly easy to access. The base touchscreen is seven inches across, and that goes up to 8.4 inches in the second trim. Standard tech includes smartphone connectivity, USB ports, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and parking sensors. You can add on more advanced infotainment like sound system upgrades, Wi-Fi, and onboard navigation.
Safety Features
There is also a collection of standard and optional safety tech ranging from automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist to adaptive cruise control. They are mostly available as options from the base trim, and as you go up the trim list, more of them become standard, included features.
Schedule a Test Drive near Modesto
The Dodge Charger occupies a unique position in the car market. It isn't quite a sports car, but there are very few cars that will get you north of 700 horsepower, and even the smaller engines are extremely powerful. It's important to give the Charger some test drives because all of the engines feel different, and they are the heart of the car. The trim decisions are mostly about the engine, too, so engine choice determines most of the Charger experience.
