The Jeep Patriot

The Jeep Patriot first debuted about ten years ago. It has the signature look of a Jeep, with round headlights and a vertical grille. It's a small, four-door, five-seat SUV with a spacious, comfortable sitting area and a voluminous cargo storage area.

The Jeep Patriot is available in two main trims - the Sport and the Latitude. They are both available with either a manual or automatic transmission and in either front-wheel and all-wheel drive. There are two engine options as well:

  • A 158-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder
  • A 172-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder

In crash tests, the Jeep Patriot has received the highest score possible from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Patriot owes its high score to the safety features Jeeps puts into each model, including traction and stability control, full-sized side curtain airbags, and front side airbags.
